MISSION:

We are a centre for the promotion, establishment and maintenance of round the clock and partial (part-time) perpetual Eucharistic adoration across Canada.  As adorers of the  Real Presence of Jesus in the most Blessed Sacrament in a Monstrance, we embrace God’s call to weekly holy hours of adoration.

It is our mission to help fulfill St. Pope John Paul II’s hope and great desire to see perpetual Eucharistic adoration in all parishes and Christian communities.  May every cardinal, bishop, pastor, clergy, religious and lay person do all they can to fulfill this important goal.

Our apostolate facilitates Adoration Invitation Sign-Up Weekends, comprehensive organization and resources for starting or increasing Eucharistic adoration.

We assist parishes, dioceses and communities to establish, maintain and develop viable weekly Eucharistic Adoration, in conformity with the teaching of the Church and in full obedience to the bishops and priests, for the upbuilding of the Body of Christ.   The term “viable” means that a structure is established to ensure that at least one person is scheduled and present during exposition.

VISION:

The vision is that there be a nucleus of people, in every parish, formed by adoring Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

“Jesus Christ is calling you to spend one special specific hour with Him each week” – St. Pope John Paul II.  May each individual, parish and Christian community return love for Love to Jesus by responding to Christ’s invitation:  Could you not keep watch one hour with Me?” (Matthew 26:40).  The apostolate endeavours to carry Christ’s Invitation, through its tried and tested program.

“The worship of the Eucharist outside of the Mass is of inestimable value for the life of the Church. … It is the responsibility of Pastors to encourage, also by their personal witness, the practice of Eucharistic adoration, and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in particular, as well as prayer of adoration before Christ present under the Eucharistic species” (Ecclesia de Eucharistia, No. 25).

BACKGROUND:

Within Canada, we help to fulfill the aims of and collaborate with The Real Presence Eucharistic Education and Adoration Association.   Spiritually, Jesus and Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart are the centre  for PEA/EA in Canada.

Since 1999, we have maintained a registered Canadian charitable status.  In addition to continuing our ministry of helping to establish adoration, we were ecclesiastically commissioned by a Canadian Bishop who had been mandated by other bishops to promote perpetual adoration in Canada,  to continue promotional efforts of the previous Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Association of Canada. As the original publishers of the Real Presence newsletter, their operations were discontinued due to lack of funds.

“Thank you for your evangelical work promoting Eucharistic Adoration.  It is a grace for the Church. You have my encouragement and blessing” (St. John Paul II to the Apostolate of Eucharistic Adoration).

We uphold the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s Profession of Faith and Oath of Fidelity. Our apostolic efforts are theologically and morally sound; utilizing faithful resources, including the ecclesiastically approved Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Manual.
